Nikes

The Nike brand of shoes are my favorite. In Mr. Garvin's class we are doing stocks. We have to pick a stock that we would like to be able to invest in and keep track of it. Today Nike's value is $63.50. If you would like to stay updated as I do click on NIKE.

  1. Hi I'm David - I'm the state director for the Globaloria program that Mr. Garvin and Ms. Tate are teaching. It's great to see that you're starting to add things to your wiki and to your blog page.

Are you enjoying the class so far? The stock portfolio project sounds like fun. Nike sneakers are my favorite too!

It would be great to see you and your classmates also start blogging more about what you're learning regarding game design, Flash coding, and what research you are doing for your game topics. Reflecting on how the Globaloria class has opened your eyes to things about the world, about yourself, and about your goals would also be great to see in your blog posts.

There are lots of cool blogs that students from other schools have been writing and they are embedding a lot of cool media in to their blogs like I see you have started doing. Have you gotten a chance to cruise the Globaloria wiki and review other students' work? Go to www.globaloria.org/wv and click on other schools, go to their user galleries, and check out students' blogs to see what your peers at other schools are doing/writing about.

Are you planning on creating a video game? I hope you are. What would you like your game to be about? It will need to be about some educational or social issue topic. There's a lot of cool topics that you could choose to create your game about (civics, health issues, the environment, etc...)

I look forward to seeing your progress. Keep up the good work.

    Sincerely,
    David

  2. Hi Kim,

I really like the theme you have chosen for your BLOG, very clever!

Have you put thought into what you are going to research? I am hoping you learn a great deal from this effort.
